One Place I Always Return To

A little story about one special place I return to almost every day. Walks with my dog, fog between the trees, and why this one spot still feels like home.

In our family, walking is almost a duty.

Usually twice a day.

Having a Border Collie… it comes with responsibility.

You have to move.

I am not even sure I realised that fully 8 years ago.

Nana is now eight and a half. Molly nearly four.

And like it or not, when you have a dog—you go.

If I had to choose one place I always return to…

It would be Harlaw.

No doubt.

There are many reasons.

It is close to home.

The walk is circular — which I like.

And most of all… there is woodland. And a hill.

There is silence.

The walk is about 3 km.

But you can stretch it to 4.5—or longer, if you feel like it.

For a good start to the day — that is enough.

The views are lovely.

Birds by the loch.

Mist between the trees.

Sometimes it feels like time stops there.

You can breathe.

You can listen.

There is quiet.

What about you?

Is there one place you always come back to?

Share it with me — I always love discovering new spots.

My Happy Place ❤️
