One Photo, One Story: A Short Stop, Just Ten Minutes From Home

A short moment from a rainy day.

Having a campervan is not only about long trips. Sometimes we go somewhere close, just for a night. There are so many nice places within an hour of Edinburgh. But this time we drove only ten minutes. Yes, ten minutes from home. For many people it probably sounds funny. Why leave a warm house, especially on a day like this?

It was a grey, rainy, autumn afternoon. The sky was heavy and dark. But there are many reasons why we still go out, even on days like this. Maybe I will write about that another time.

Sometimes ten minutes is enough. You do not need to travel far. You just need a small place where you can stop. And small things start to happen.

The sky opened for a few minutes. Behind us another dark cloud was already moving in, but in front of us was a rainbow. Clear, bright, full of colour. It stood there for a short moment, almost like the sky changed its mind and wanted to show something nice.

It lasted only a moment, but it changed the whole day.

Sometimes that is enough.
